Jupiter Ascending - Movie Review

He's shirtless in this movie. A lot.
So I read some of the reviews for this movie that were pretty harsh. I can see why, it is a sort of sprawling mess of a movie, but if you haven't caught on by now I only do positive reviews. If I don't like something then I just don't write about it.

I went to see this in the theater in 3D. It was my first 3D movie since getting my eyes fixed. I couldn't see 3D movies before, I was pretty much blind in one eye. Now I have full binocular vision and man is it a big change. This movie was the perfect way to experience 3D for the first time.

I'm not completely able to see everything yet. I lost focus many times. My brain/eye connection still hasn't adjusted to using 2 eyes yet I guess, but when I could see the depth I was totally blown away. Great effects, lots of wiz bang. Just a beautiful, nice looking movie.

The only real flaw was the convoluted plot, you sorta lose your way in the movie part way through. Still, if you are looking for some fun special effects I recommend this film. Bees in 3D? Awesome.

    LOL Your feelings about the movie sound like they match mine. Gorgeous visuals, but I was expecting more story from the Wachowskis.

    Yeah, those two are a bit hit or miss but every time I see one of their movies there's at least something I like about it. So that's good.
